I would like to tell you a little about the class I took on Saturday August 21st. My instructor was Matt Plock. I enjoyed the class very much. Mat is a great teacher and keeps you interested in what he has to teach you. No nodding off in his class. He is very sincere and handles firearms in a very safe maner,even when he is showing you what not to do. I would recomend the Equip2Conceal course and Mat Plock to anyone.

I participated in an Equip2Conceal class in Ocala, Fl at Gander Mountain on Aug. 21st 2010. My Instuctor was Jon Levesque. I had very little knowledge of fire arms. Jon was very helpful, and intelligent. He made sure that everyone in the class understood everything that he taught, and he made sure that any and all questions were answered. I would highly recommend this course to everyone.

I took my first class on July 25, 2010 which was a womens only class. y instructor was Jesse Fox who is highly professional, also with a advanced apptitude for teaching firearms classes. During Class Jesse mentioned that he practices with his left hand( his weaker hand). well, I'm right handed but have had two surgeries and require 3 more for my right hand. During range time I decided to switch to my left hand since my right one was becoming fatigued. I did much better left handed and have gone to the range (bullseye-palmetto) 4 ADDITIONAL TIMES SICE MY CLASS- I'M SHOOTING LEFT HANDED WITH A .40 caliber PISTOL. Also, at tampa gun show I bought a universal loader like the one we used in class. Hope a level 2 class is available shortly so I can attend. Thanks once again! Regards, Christine Roness

This class was very comfortable and shows you your weeks and strengths are so you can improve as an Instructor. I took my wife to a basic pistol class in Lake Mary yesterday because the Women’s only class was not convenient. Rob and Jessie taught the class. Super job by both of these professional instructors. Jessie took my wife into the range at Shoot Straight and had the patients of a saint. When Rob was done with his guys he came back into the store and stayed and discussed different pros and cons of the different guns they had there and did not leave until all of our questions were answered. I am familiar with guns but there are some things that is just easier to get a professional to teach the wife. It was worth every penny to take her to these guys for the training. Jessie, who was my instructor in the CW Permit class at Gander Mountain in Palm Beach Gardens was EXCELLENT. From the moment he answered the phone, right through leaving the shooting range, he left me with a good understanding of what it means to own a firearm. He drilled the responsibilites over and over again, about carrying a firearm.....which I will never forget. Being a woman, he made me feel very comfortable and when it was time to shoot, he was right beside me. Great instructor - thanks Jessie !!!

Over this past July 10th weekend I had the opportunity to go through the NRA Instructors Basic Pistol Course in St Pete with Rob and John from Equip 2 Conceal. The training was outstanding and reminded me of something I had learned many years ago; practice does not make you perfect --- perfect practice makes perfect. Both of those young men did an excellent job of covering the material, answering questions and demonstrated a unusual level of patience for men their age. Thanks again to both of you! Richard accompanied us to the shooting range and gave Jeanine and I some very pertinent and helpful guidelines to further enhance our shooting skills. I cannot thank Robert and John enough for thier professionalism and knowledge on firearm safety and training. To start with, before I even enrolled in the class, Robert spent over an hour on the phone with me practically answering my all my questions about the course offered that I was interested in. That alone "sold me" on why to enroll with equip2conceal. Both the classroom and range portions were conducted in a safe, business like format, and everything was completed in a timely manner. Coming from a background of management and sales, I know just how important knowledge, service, and quality of a product is; both gentlemen provided all three of these in the class. The class was educational and to quote hime, "Its a three hour class but I have no where to be, ask as much questions as possible because I am disappointed if you haven't learned." I have been a firearms enthusiast for some time now and I thought this was going to be more a redundant lecture than anything. But no it was great and I did learn a few things! Hi Rob & Dutch: I'm not sure what to say to you two. The class was wonderful - seems insufficient. It was incredible - that's better. I think everyone learned so much. I know I did. I was probably the worst student when it came to the shooting part, but I certainly learned how to and how not to handle the weapon. I promise you I will practice - ALOT!! The class itself was very informative and even though it was obvious that the purpose was a darned serious one, Dutch interjected just enough humor in his presentation to make everyone lighten up a little and enjoy the class. The rest of your staff was so very helpful and professional as well. Pinellas Patriots can't thank you enough. This was a much needed class for us and I hope that sometime in the near future we can do it again for another group of our incredible Patriots. We'll keep in touch. My daughter and I attended a concealed weapons class taught by Dutch in November. It was great to be in a an all womens' class with an instructor that was professional while being practical. Dutch was extremely helpful thru out the entire class and at the range took alot of time with each of us. His patience and attention to all the details made us feel safe while learning alot. He covered everything thoroughly, was extremely patient with all of our questions and made us feel comfortable while handling several different caliber handguns. Completed the Women's class today and I highly recommend this class to all the Ladies out there. If you have never shot a gun and want to eliminate that fear of a loaded gun in your home or you are thinking about being able to protect yourself during these crazy times, this is a MUST take class. The instructor Dutch brought years of knowledge and experience to the classroom and made it very enjoyable and I learned alot. The women's class is a little longer as they take more time with you and allow you to shoot a variety of guns. Dutch is an extremely patient instructor, he took a lot of time explaining, and was very thorough in teaching us about safety and handling. Equip2Conceal Instructor Dutch Wermuth came to our home to give a Level 1 Firearm Safety Course private lesson. He was terrific. Very pleasant and professional. He helped complete the forms for the Florida Concealed Weapon Permit, took the required photo for the application, etc. We then went to a local range to do some shooting, and he was very helpful in that process too. All in all a great experience. The private lesson was well worth the additional cost over a group lesson.

I took the FIRST class w/ instructors Rob and Dennis @ Gander Mtn on 6/27. The class was great and they were very patient with alot of the first time shooters. They also answered some important questions in relation to firearms law et. al carrying in a vehicle etc.. My only complaint was it was over way too fast :)I would def like to continue my training w/them in relation to pistol combat shooting and maybe an intro class on AR-15 techniques and long dist (300 yards) shooting.

Recently completed concealed carry course conducted by Dutch & Johnny. I felt very comfortable asking questions and due to the small class size the class was even more than I expected. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting the corrrect skinny on fire arm information and what the law is relating to your rights in the state of Florida. I can't tell you how many different answers to the same questions I have received in the past from various members of Florida law enforcement.....Thanks again.......H. K. Ramadan

Thanks, Rob and Stan, for a great training class! Concise, informative and valuable. The handouts are a must for any library, especially the NRA bok on handguns. At your suggestion, I purchased Jon Gutmacher's book "Florida Firearms -- Law, Use & Ownership". WOW! ANYONE who owns a gun in Florida MUST READ THIS BOOK! Thanks again.

I recently attended the conceal weapon class with Rob and Danny and must say it was extremely informative, professional and comprehensive. I would highly recommend it to anyone, whether you are experienced or a novice. Whether or not you are considering the legal right to conceal, I would strongly consider this course as essential for anyone who may own a firearm , or for that matter, anyone who is considering owning one. I attended Rob Shewmake's Firearms class on April 25,2009. I enjoyed the class and thought it was presented very well. Rob and his assistant were friendly and responsive to questions. The class covered many aspects of firearms handling with an emphasis on safety. There was hands on training for each person. I would recommend this course to anyone interested.

May 8, 2009: If you are looking for a thorough and extensive course in safe fire arm & self-protection training and not simply a means of getting herded through a quick & easy formality of obtaining your CWP then you will enjoy an amazingly educational and hands-on personalized experience! It wasn't your run of hte mill "sign-up here" experience, but instead I was asked a series of questions by Robert which assisted them in determining my: background, skill level and needs in determining who would best map to my customized personalized training. In my case, Johnny Potter. Equip To Conceal was exceptionally accommodating... same day response to my request for Private CWP training... professional... well prepared.. knowledgeable... thorough... worked at a steady - no rush pace, patient.. provided great collateral... covered "all" aspects of safe gun handling... stances, ammunition, legalese, cleaning and addressing each and everyone of my in depth questions. Then there was my exceptional experience at the range where a lot of detail and attention was paid to the logistics of refining my stance, breathing, grip and trigger pull. I went through 50-rounds and could have fired-off more if I had more ammunition, with absolutely no pressure to rush the process. Thanks to Johnny's expertise and ability to transfer his knowledge base, I now possess the comfort to handle my robust ACP and taking it to the next level of competency in further establishing my confidence.

I attended Mr. Shemake's class on 4/14/09. Him and his assistant Edward were great. They gave out alot of information, answered all questions with great detail, and did not make the class boring. Both Shewmake and Edward made sure to get the class involved by doing hands on examples. Which I think gave everyone more confidence in handling a gun. I came out of their class with alot more knowledge about a gun, how to use a gun, the laws about using a gun and more. They just went above and beyond. Thank you guys.

Well I must admit Mr Potter and Mr Wolf were very professional presenting themselves. Their knowledge of training and handgun control was excellent. The First Steps Handgun class was terrific. Comprehensive and informative. Provided excellent reading material and all required assistance for the CWP paperwork filing process. I recommend that you take this class to learn about gun safety before going anywhere near a loaded handgun. It could save your life.

I attended the class on 3/28/09 at Gander Mountain. Having never held or shot a gun before I was a bit nervous. Rob made sure that I was comfortable with shooting and provided excellent hands on training for a beginner. I would highly recomend Equip 2 Conceal to anyone thinking about taking the CWP class or any other classes they offer. The staff was knowledgable and friendly.

I attended the class at Gander Mountain in Palm Beach on 3/28/09. Both Stan and Rob did an excellent job of not only going over the required information but spending time on topics based upon their years of experience dealing with law enforcement and their military training. At no time did I feel "talked down to" or ignored when asking a question or for clarification. Their focus and stress on safety was obvious and appreciated. I would strongly recommend this class to anyone interested in obtaining their concealed carry license.

This was a great class. Thank you guys for your patience with an old lady whom hasnt had a chance to do more than shoot old shot guns, and a daughter, who is a little mouse, with no experience. She commented to me on the way home, "I feel different, like I have a duty". I have been preaching to my kids, our rights are disappearing because you need to keep up on what the gov't is doing. It was a 'moment' for me, as the mom, seeing her practice at the shooting range.. I aways instilled 'American' values into both of my daughters. And I didnt think to bring the camera.
